Dr. Bishop is IN!
It’s no secret that these Bishop Brothers have stolen pieces of my heart the moment they were all introduced and started to charm the pants off of me the more I got to know each and every one of them. But I think I found my new favorite KF book, and it has Evan and Emily’s name all over it. The entire doctor and enemies-to-lovers theme all bundled up into one just worked spectacularly. It was carried out so thoroughly, even with an added hint of suspense in it, that there’s not a chance you won’t be wrapped up in everything going on.
Dr. Evan Bishop was a bigger a** than I thought he’d be, but he was also so much more. Even though he made me want to throat punch and karate chop him in the nuts in the beginning, he certainly made up for it later on and even leveled up his swoon game—I lived for the closet romantic that he was. And then there’s Dr. Emily Bell, whom I just wanted to cheer on and shout “atta girl” to, every time she bickered and went toe to toe with Dr. Bishop. The girl wasn’t only smart and passionate and funny, but she also had spunk and a backbone, and I adored her so much more for it.
What I truly enjoy about enemies-to-lovers romances is the comical banter, and the spark and tension that oozes out of the characters and the story itself, and Kennedy Fox has delivered that in spades. The chemistry between these two ER doctors were just jumping off the pages and I wanted more of them even until the very end.
Love the Bishop brothers ... Evan is exceptional
I love the Bishop clan. Evan Bishop broke the convention and became a doctor, much to his father’s chagrin, though on his off days he works at the ranch. He is very dedicated to his job but also closed off emotionally. At his brother Alex’s wedding, he hooks-up with a woman but finds himself alone the next morning. Emily Bell needs a fresh start after her boyfriend cheats on her and they worked at the same hospital. When she walks in on the first day and finds her one-stand will be her supervisor, well, being shocked is an understatement. These two strong-willed, driven individuals are a perfect match, but can they overcome past hurts and open themselves up to love. It was a fun ride to find out what would happen between these two. At the same time, the entire Bishop family is involved adding so much depth to this series. I loved that we learned more about Keira and can see Jackson being jealous. So excited for the next brother’s story.

Is it possible to be in love with all the Bishop brothers? I think it is! Evan Bishop is so reserved and serious that you can’t help wanting to break down his walls and find out what lies beneath his strong suit. I was super curious about Evan while reading Taming Him and I knew I was going to love him just as much as I loved Alex.
I absolutely fell for Evan’s character and though I called out most of what would happen in his story, reading as it unfolded was so much fun. Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite romance tropes. I always enjoy the banter and steamy “hate” looks that the characters give each other, along with all the sexual tension. It just makes for a very entertaining read.
Although I wasn’t a very big fan of Emily, I still enjoyed the story. Some of her reactions and decisions irritated me and I found myself having to power through a couple of her chapters because I couldn’t root for her when her thoughts were making me want to punch her in the face. Even so, I enjoyed the way her relationship with Evan evolved.

I can’t wait to read the rest of this series! With those bits and pieces of Jackson and John thrown into Evan’s story I have become that much more anxious for their books and can’t wait to “watch” their love stories unfold!

This book is everything... Hot, steamy, sweet, sad, heart-wrenching and even suspenseful thanks to a crazy stalker.
This book starts with the heroine, Emily, finding out her long term boyfriend is cheating on her in a call room (It is not a spoiler if it happens in the first couple pages right?). Anyway, Emily leaves Houston and heads to Bishop land and gets a job at the hospital as a new ER dr...
Her BFF since college lives there and drags her to a wedding, which I wont spoil here who's wedding it was, but hot guy walks up to beautiful girl and introduces himself. (Should mention, Emily has been doing shots so she is consensual-ey drunk *that means drunk enough to still make her own decisions... ha ;) She says her name is Stella and they end up having a hook up...
LOTS of hilarity ensues the next morning when she cannot remember the name he gave her... And her and her BFF jump to the WAY wrong conclusions on who she slept with... I think this is Chapter 3 or 4, early in book, very funny and lots has happened up to this point.
Evan is the hero in the book, the only brother who isnt a full time rancher. I should mention he runs the ER... Hmmmm... Wonder how that connects...
Let's just say, I highly recommend this book if you like hot, sweet heroes with witty, smart and independent heroine... This was a fun read with still heavy topics and great plot. There is a stalker, some shockers at the end and you get a HEA, what is not to love?
Can be read as a stand-alone but recommend starting with at least Taming Him.. You could skip the checkmate duets and the ones that came after (NO IDEA WHY ANYONE WOULD DO THAT) but Taming Him and then Needing Him and going back to do Checkmate Duet and their spin offs after...
Next up is Chasing Him, which is brother John Bishop's story..> C A N N O T WAIT!
I absolutely loved Evan and Emily!! This book was funny, serious, and steamy! I read it all in one sitting and didn't want it to end. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait for the next book!
My new favorite Kennedy Fox book!!
Yuuuummm!! Kennedy Fox’s newest release is all kinds of yummy. I absolutely loved this book! Needing Him is a prime example of why I looove enemies to lovers. The fiery tension. The constant pushing of buttons. The back and forth. Then the explosive coming together when it all becomes too much! That is Evan and Emily’s relationship and I could not get enough. Needing Him is my favorite book by Kennedy Fox so far. It gave me all the good feelings from the beginning to the very end. Also, how do you not fall in love with the family feels and the small town charm that we get in a Kennedy Fox book?! The closeness between the Bishops is everything. I enjoyed all the family banter and ribbing. It warms my heart to know that even with all the joking and teasing, if one of them truly needs the others, every member is quick to help. This book just makes you feel good.
The dynamic duo of Kennedy Fox have once again written characters that are easy to root for and easy to love. Emily is smart, sassy and determined. I love that she's willing to fight for something especially when she knows she's right. Even if that goes against her boss, who just happened to be Evan. *Sigh Evan. *insert heart eyes emoji here* While I was reading the previous book in the series,Taming Him, I knew there was something more to the serious and stoic oldest Bishop boy. I was SO right. It is a possiblity that Dr. Evan Bishop has taken the title of my favorite Kennedy Fox hero away from Logan Knight. I love me a sexy, successful, possessive, gruff dreamboat with a sweet romantic side. When these two get together, stand clear because they're fire. The more they butt heads the more explosive their connection gets.
In addition to the hotness, Kennedy Fox also gave us an element of suspense that had my emotions all over the place. Different from the previous book, this touch just elevated the book to another level.
The lovely ladies of Kennedy Fox sure do know how to keep you coming back for more. That epilogue... all I can say is: I CANNOT wait to have John's story!!
I can honestly say this book was everything I wanted. I recommend picking it up.
Swooning Over Evan Bishop...

This story had everything I love in a book (suspense, humor, romance, Lots of Hotness!!!) Needing Him has a sexy Hero Doctor that is absolutely swoon-worthy and a beautiful intelligent heroine that stands up for what she believes in. The chemistry between Dr. Evan Bishop and Dr. Emily Bell is off the charts. This book also brings on some suspense that has you wondering what will be the end game? Throw in some hot sexy southern Bishops to the mix and you got one amazing story that you just can’t put down. All in all, Evan and Emily are absolute perfection!!

Love this enemies to lovers book! I seriously love any book that Kennedy Fox writes! This book can be read as a stand-alone but would make more sense if books were read in order. This is the second Bishop brother book.
Evan and Emily might be my favorite couple yet. I LOVE their bickering/flirting. I also am in a medical show/book obsession and this book was perfect! Dr. Evan Bishop is HOT!
I totally recommend this book! It’s a great and fast read. I literally read it in like 8 hours! But then again, I’m OBSESSED with Kennedy Fox so of course I did. At the end of the book there’s sorta a sneak peek into the next Bishop book! I’m so excited! I love the Bishop brothers! GET THIS BOOK!
